We are really excited to announce the new date for this year’s biggest Yoga Stops Traffick event: Sunday 31st March 2024.

In two months time thousands of beautiful yogis from across the world will join together to practice yoga in solidarity with young survivors of human trafficking in India. The biggest event will take place in front of Mysore Palace in Mysore, India, organised by the Odanadi Seva Trust – the fantastic organisation that Yoga Stops Traffick supports.

This year we aim to raise £25,000 to support the girls home for trafficked women and children. This will fund 6 months of running costs for the home ensuring survivors can access psycho-social support, practice yoga and access education.

We invite teachers, studios, businesses and practitioners to be part of the campaign. Whether you can host a donation-based class, gather your friends together to salute the sun in your local park, join a YST event near you, or run a cause related marketing campaign through your business. Every body on every mat makes the world of difference to the young survivors’ lives in India.

We would like to share with you the tangible impact your support has on one survivor affected by human trafficking.

“I was completely broken, it was a hell kind of situation I witnessed every single second. Thank you for being the reason to smile, I stay in Odanadi and continue my education. My sincere gratitude to Odanadi and Yoga Stops Traffick.”

Introducing Helen, new to the YST team!

We are delighted to introduce you to Helen, who will be managing the Yoga Stops Traffick campaign this year. Helen has been a professional fundraiser for the last ten years and has worked for charities including Unicef, Concern Worldwide and Farmers’ Voice Radio. Outside of her day job she is also a qualified vinyasa and yin yoga teacher and has been practicing yoga since she was 15 years old. She is particularly passionate about bringing yoga to marginalized communities and has taught yoga to refugee communities in the UK and Italy. She is looking forward to joining the YST family and getting lots of yoga businesses and teachers on board to raise funds for an amazing cause.
