Global Campaign

Global Campaign

Yoga Stops Traffick is a worldwide campaign uniting yoga practitioners to stand against human trafficking. Join us by hosting or attending donation‐based yoga classes – in person or online – or by organising your own community events. You can also support us as a regular donor.

The funds raised support Odanadi Seva Trust, a pioneering anti‐trafficking organisation based in Mysore, South India. For over 30 years, Odanadi has been dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and reintegrating trafficked women and children, providing a safe haven for survivors of human trafficking, sexual exploitation, slavery and domestic abuse.

Our Story

Our Story

Established in 2010 by a group of passionate volunteers, Yoga Stops Traffick was founded to make a difference. On 12 March 2011, our second annual event was led by young Odanadi residents from the entrance of the iconic Mysore Palace – many survivors of slavery, domestic abuse and forced prostitution.

Through the universal language of yoga, 3,000 people around the world united in support of Odanadi’s work, rolling out their mats in homes, on beaches and mountaintops. From the home of Ashtanga in Mysore, a worldwide event was born.

The Power of Ashtanga Yoga

The Power of Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Yoga plays a vital role in the rehabilitation programme at Odanadi. It empowers young residents to reclaim their bodies, build physical and mental strength, and restore a sense of peace, confidence and self-worth.

By standing alongside these brave individuals, you demonstrate solidarity and send a powerful message against a world that tolerates such horrific abuses. Now is your chance to make a difference – take part in Yoga Stops Traffick.

Empowering Through Odanadi

Empowering Through Odanadi

Odanadi Seva Trust runs two residential rehabilitation and reintegration centres in Mysore, providing shelter for up to 100 women and young people at any one time. Every resident has a unique story – some rescued from sex traffickers, others from abusive homes, child marriages or servitude.

Empowerment is at the core of Odanadi’s mission. Through a tailored psycho‐social therapy programme – including psychological counselling, art therapy, drama, karate, yoga and acupuncture – residents acquire the skills needed to heal, gain confidence, and reintegrate into mainstream society.

With nearly a quarter of trafficking survivors facing re‐trafficking, it is crucial to prepare residents for life beyond the centre. Odanadi’s aim is to reunite survivors with their families and equip them with the tools to face the world as strong, confident, and empowered individuals.
